hello
every time i open a notcard its doesnt show up and just puts like a darker see through box on left hand side that i can click through but cant get rid off unless i delete the notecard or log out and in again
plz help also i am a newbie so make ya reply easy to understand plz

When you open a Note Card, it will start loading. It could be a connection issue not somthing major.

Go to diffrent sims, and check ctrl-shift-1 , simulator, pending download, if that is not 0 (ok 99,999% of time its 1 for some reason) youre still downloading stuff before it load your notecard.

pending downloads was 0
and the note card will stay like a grey see through box now unless i delete note card from invertory or i log out i have left it too see if anything happens never comes up tho even after a few hours

Aha i know that one, i got my minimap like that a few times, its cause of xml messing up,you have to manually delete it after you uninstalled, or it will stay like a wierd box like that.
Uninstall
then manually go to
C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Application Data\SecondLife
Delete that folder or find the xml files and delete them there,
Be sure you dont have any files remaining in
C:\Program Files\SecondLifeReleaseCandidate
[or wherever you had it installed]
reinstall again, this happen when xml mess up wish box size or something , only way i fixed mine was to set -settings file.xml <but they removed that command since the new change of xml (wich i truly hate them for -.-)

well i unistalled then couldnt find the files so reinstalled again
i didnt really understand what you were saying i need it in simple i dont have a clue bout computer terms plz

Uninstall wont help, it doesnt remove the settings file wich is stored in a diffrent folder and is usually hidden by default.
tools, folder options, view , show hidden files or folders
only then you can see the path you need;
C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Application Data\SecondLife
Username is what you log in windows as, if you havnt set one its "Administrator"
