Am I the only one for who AGP does nothing? When I turn it OFF my FPS go up! And when I turn AGP on the FPS gets horrible... up to 5 FPS down. Lindens (doug) do you know what causes this? And yes, I have all the lastest drivers... my computer is due for a clean up (format), I try to do it every 6 months i'm on my 9th now! So maybe that will help.

I have a nvidia GF3 TI200. With 41.09 drivers.
I have the opposite, i guess the expected result.....On fps is better, off it is worse.

hehe. try "downgrading" to the 41.09 drivers. i've heard they work better with SL. i overheard someone (Doug, i think) say that turning AGP on stores an extra copy of the textures in your memory(RAM), so maybe you're running low on RAM, or have some programs in the background eating up some of your RAM.

If your frame rate goes up when you disable AGP, that probably means that you don't have the AGP drivers for your motherboard chipset, which will sometimes cause drivers to run in wierd AGP compatibility modes...
I posted a doc about how to debug this stuff, it's in the knowledge base in Technical support. It's called "Debugging viewer crashes and slow performance", I' would post a link, but it appears that the links to the knowledge base don't work (sigh...)
