Hello, i got a new computer recently The original graphic card from it wasnt good enough to handle SL, i get a new card who is more then recommended requirements to use SL and alot more then my old card from old computer where i was running 45FPS
the problem is that with it i have bad lag and run around 5-8FPS with my graphic setting at the lower level
i have the most recent driver for it, and all update from Windows are done. since i updated my driver its even worst now cause i still run around 5FPS AND i have graphic glitch who follow me, some weird color beam who go out of me and change with each move i do
Theres my setting:
CPU: Intel Pentium II with internal L2 cache (2194 MHz) Memory: 2047 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (Build 6002) Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 8.62-090520m1-081755C-ATI
my friend told me alot of people have problem with ATI card and SL, but theres probably a way to fix it? someone can save me? lol
i dont know if i post at the right place, and sorry for my bad english

To fix the graphic glitches, in SL, go to the Edit menu, select Preferences, and there, graphics. On that screen click Hardware Options, and then uncheck the box for Enable OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects.

I have been laggier than normal since the new viewer update. I think it will maybe be worked out in the next update. I can't use any shaders now without being very laggy....and could before. So you may want to uncheck all your shaders in the graphics settings. You might also try older graphics drivers. The newest for ATI aren't always the best for every card. I'm still on the 7.11's for SL. I think some others can't use any above 8.12.

There are a lot of posts in this forum about ATI cards, have a search on ATI on this forum and you will find a few. ATI cards and SL are not the best of friends, however my advice is to try a version of the cool viewer compiled by Boy Lane that incorportates a patch that helps a lot with frame rates on ATI cards. I havce tried it and it made a big improvement. Check it out here : http://my.opera.com/boylane/blog/cool-viewers-1-22-1-19-with-rlv-1-17-2
