Now that I am land owner (Brown 206,44, come by say hello) my involvement with SL is about to get more focused learning skills, building, etc. etc. (AV makeover?).

Knowing that RL-happens i've been wondering what's the best way to back up my SL world and other tips on where to store SL-data files on my HD.

(I remember Colin L. telling me something NOT to do re: file storage but have forgotten what he said).

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Well, technically, do you need to back anything up?

Given that the only information you can personally lose is the client settings (and that's not exactly heartache to redo), all you really need to is re-d/l the client and you're set.

Just my tuppence worth...

Cool, yes... except for when bad things happen.

Hopefully someday we'll get a local export option for at least the objects we create...

Keeping fingers crossed no bad things happen.

Isn't that what FL is for?
