Hi
I have a danish keyboard layout and it is very anoying i have to copy most of the special characters when scripting, because I can't make them with danish keyboard layout.

I searched and found an old post, with someone having the same problem with german keyboard.

Is anything happening with this issue? is there a way of getting it to work?

great game btw.

Linden Lab is very aware of the issue, and it may have been fixed in version 1.1, which is currently in testing, and will probably be released next week. I'm not sure if it was fixed or not, as I have a US keyboard, so, when I used 1.1, I wasn't able to check.

If you want, go to www.secondlife.com/preview and download the 1.1 client. You won't be able to connect, however, you can type stuff into the login screen, and, if that uses the same keyboard code as the rest of SL, it should let you figure out if it was fixed in 1.1 or not. Good luck!

Where you getting your info James? I do not believe this is right. If the Preview of the beta 1.1 we played yesterday is any indication, next week is an extremely optistic release date. I thought it was still a few weeks (or more) away.

Well, last week, I was told that we are getting a preview of SL 1.1 in a week or two. It turned out to be a week. I was also told that 1.1 will be released no later then the last week of September. Also, the last time we had a preview version, which was 0.5, it was released about a week after it was released. So, going on that info, I say next week.

I think i will install U.S. keyboard layout in windows and then switch when starting/ending game.
And hope for the new version to be better.

Hi again
I have been trying for some days now to install US keyboard layout and get it to work, it works on all other programs than, SL, SL still won't accept special keys(like ; and =).
Anyone have any tips on how to get SL to treat my keyboard as US? i know the position of the buttons because my laptop is from usa, but it can't run the game.

Its impossible to do, unless you can get ahold of a US keyboard. Maybe you can use the laptop keyboard, somehow?
