What is the Firewall at my job doing to SL?

OK. So I have this laptop, and when I connect from home using my cable connection, everything works great, so I know I have all the correct hardware, etc.

When I connect from the office (using my laptop and the office wireless connection), two features (at least two that I notice) are effected. I have no groups listed. And I can't teleport anywhere. I am assuming this is because of the firewall at the office. But what would make everything else work (I can connect to SL), but only restrict a few features? Remember, I am using the same computer at both locations, so this is not a hardware issue.

Many thanks in advance,

ps. This is more of a curiousity since I can't complain about not being able to use SL at the office:)

Can you try on a non-wireless connection at work?

Groups list and teleport happen to be two features for which you must make HTTP requests... if that's the problem, you /may/ also be unable to save scripts, or see info in "About Land."

Referencing this page http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Firewall_Configuration
I think the requirement that would need to be met is "Enable outbound TCP access for ports 80, 443, 5060, 5062, 12043 and 21002."

There is no way to access through a land-line connection at work. The http requests sounds like the right answer. Maybe I can use one of my spies in IS to get this problem solved. Thanks for the replies.
