If I try to use the referral link I get on the referral page, it goes to the main SL page instead. What's that about? Is the referral program dead? Is it just that they forgot to make the referral page accessable when they went to the new website format?
Generally I don't think the new site is nearly as easy to navigate as the old one.

I think the referral link now auto fills your name in the referred by boxes.

You're right. I got confirmation of this from Linden Labs: From: someone Thank you for your inquiry. With the new website, the referral links act a bit differently; they send the user to the front page but add a cookie with the referral information. If that person goes to sign up, their signup page will have the referral name already filled in. So, you should still get credit for your referrals.
