Can't connect.

Sorry I am new here I am trying to start up second life for the first time. I opened all the ports it said to in my router. I still am getting we are having trouble connecting. I know my internet connection is fine. And it says the second life grid is online. It gets to the point where is says waiting for region handshake. Can anyone tell me of a possible solution, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Thank you peggy I have tried everything I can to get this to work. I'm not having luck with anything. Been looking all over for solutions but nothing seems to work. I opened all the ports it said to within my router. But still nothing. Maybe I should just give up on it. Thanks again.
