I downloaded the updated version this evening, and it does not show the Tools option in the Toolbar at the top of the screen. What keyboard shortcuts would I have to activate in order for the Tools option to show?

The Tools menu will only show when you the Build window is open, so you'll either have to select and edit something, or press Build, or use one of the Ctrl-1 through Ctrl-4 keyboard shortcuts (same as clicking build, only it preselects one of the options).
