I'm being asked about a problem with the Second Life fonts being ugly in both the Windlight and regular client.

The fonts SL uses are stored in program folders in a subfolder called fonts. The windlight and regular clients would be using different copies of the font files, so it doesn't seem too likely that it would be corrupted files.

This is not my machines with this problem, it's someone else that's got this trouble.

The problem has persisted through multiple versions.

It's a windows system, 1280 x 1024 resolution, windowed, maximized.

I think the person has tried what you would expect, like changing the UI size, different resolutions, etc.

the ramp is suposed to move up, never down, on my SL ▃ looks taller than ▄ when it is suposed to be the other way around, also ▇ is suposed to ocupy all the space, but it currently seems to have some "padding"

beside these there are more uglyness on regular fonta, making it looks a bit like as if it was made for lower rez than what it is being displayed on screen

ps:I know the tags are mostly all disabled, but I'll use them anyway in case people have that greasemonkey thing to make it work again or somthing like that

I guess ATI users must like this bug or enjoy having version 7.11 of Catalyst.

It's the new 3D internet, made by a company that can't display the menu properly consistently. Woo-Hoo!

Although this seems not necessarily be related only to ATI. I've seen it several times on Intel graphics (GMA 910, 950), with font's being screwed up similar to the pictures up to being completely unreadable.
