Oi there,

So, I'm having a problem getting my in-world voice chat to work. I can hear people fine, but regardless of what I do, it won't allow me to be heard - apparently all anyone can hear is a 'buzzing sound.'

The dilemma is: I've had it working in the past, with the older SL viewer version. Ventrilo works fine when I play World of Warcraft, and windows recognizes that my mic is installed. I have selected my mic in the preference settings under the 'device' option and have ensured that none of my mic settings are muted. Yes it's plugged in and yes it's turned on.

Is there an existing problem with the new viewer that I'm unaware of ? It should, by all accounts, be working just fine. I'm out of ideas.

Can anyone offer any tips ?

Yes, I've visited those websites already and done as much preliminary troubleshooting as possible. My mic works in literally, ALL other instances, it's just SL giving me the problem -- and, for the life of me I can't figure it out. I tried all device settings options available under voice chat to no avail.

The only possible thing I can thing of would be people's maturity settings. As I have all the way to Adult available, would this hinder people's ability to hear me who only had Mature options ?

Sounds far fetched though.
