I have tried several time to download and log into SL with only minimal sucess. When I click on my desktop ico to log in it seems to put me into safe mode and my corser blinks and does not function properly. Any ideas what I need to do to get into world. I have all the required hardwear as recommended. I could use some help looks like.

It sounds like a driver problem. Figure out what kind of motherboard and video card you have, then install the latest drivers. Failing that, check everything on my "troubleshooting" list in my sig.
