Got enough disk space? I used to get a lot of those when I was running low.

I got the same error last night when I left SL running and dashed off to a game.
I have 1g of Ram and 9 gigs free on my partition.
Memory leak?

Been getting this alot lately too. Usually happens after I have been idle for awhile, but not always. I have 60 gigs free on the SL install drive, and another 70 gigs free on the secondary drive. 512 RAM.

How large are your page files? Usually, if you havent tweaked your PF settings, Windows is set by default to automatically allocate more or less pagefile for whatever you need. Often this automatic PF reallocation is a CPU hog and to improve performance, people manually set the pagefile settings. If you havent manually set them, then I have no clue what's wrong with it... but if you have, you may have constrained your pagefile to less space then it needs to run SL. I have 512 megs RAM in my SL computer, and my pagefile is set to 1024 MB size. Its commonly recommended to set the pagefile to 2x the amount of physical (real) RAM you have in your computer, or 64 MB, whichever is larger.
If your still having a problem with memory and havent tweaked your PF (Winblows is managing it for you), try manually tweaking it.
Im not sure about how to do it in Windows 2k, but in Windows XP, the process is relitavely straightforward:
1. Open your System Control Panel. 2. Click the Advanced tab. 3. In the Performance section, click the Settings button. 4. In the newly opened window's Virtual Memory section, click the Change button.
Youll see a list of hard disk drives that Windows is using to store its page file. With the default settings, only one drive is used by the page file.
5. Select the drive where the page file is stored. You can tell which drive has the page file, because it will have something like [System Managed Size] or [Something] (A word or number in brackets) next to it.
6. Once you have the drive selected, click the option bubble next to Custom Size. This will allow you to manually define the size of the PF. In the Minimum Size field, enter a value 2x your current amount of physical memory. For the best performance, enter this same value in the Maximum Size field.
7. Click Set. 8. Click OK until you close all the System Control Panel windows. 9. Restart your computer.
That *might* solve your problem.
To go back to the original setup, repeat all steps, and select System Managed Size instead of Custom Size in step 6.

I figured it out. This only happens when I minimize SL for like ten minutes. It's got to have something to do with either idling or minimizing.
p.s. my pagefile is ginormous

p4 3.2 gigahertz processor 2gb RAM Win XP
Same problem here.. not only does this happen if I minimize SL for 10 minutes or so, but also If I play SL in a window that is not maximized (just found the setting for this the other day). Too bad this doesn't work for me, because it's a pain minimizing SL, doing something else on my PC, and then having to wait a few moments for the SL window to be restored..
