Hi,

I am new to SL and not very computer technical. I have problems with crashing all the time. I did manage to stay online for about 30mins once, but generally luck to last 10mins.

If I try to change appearance, then it always crashes.

Can you please help me out, but please speak to me in terms that someone that does not understand the tech side of computing.

Hi there,
if you have 10 mins then please click "Help" in your viewer's top menu, then "About Second Life".

Highlight the first lines until the credits start with your mouse, then press CTRL + C ( Apple + C if you're on a Mac), return to this post and when replying press CTRL + V (Apple +V).

This procedure will copy and paste your system specs and configuration and will most likely help to narrow down the reasons of your problem.

That graphics card is below minimum requirements I think, minimum required is GeForce 6600 with Vista.

You can sometimes run SL on systems that don't meet the minimum, but it won't work well at all

not enough Memory to run SL well either .. at least not with Vista
