When I touch furniture for get iteams doesn't work

Im not sure if this topic has been created before. I did a search for several minutes (round 30) and I didn't get any information about (but if it that info exist I would appreciate a link).

The problem is weird and I dont know why.

Somehow after 2 days I can't get notecards when I touch items that have them for further information. Or even when Im searching for a job in order to fill up the form, I cant get it from the furniture that have them. I touch it by clicking on it and nothing happens, I dont get the needed item. In this way I do need someone else for taking it and later on sending me a copy (pretty annoying).

Does anyone know something about this?

Have you set "busy" mode?

No I haven't. I simply go to a place for example for a job application, go to the box where I got the forms. I do click for touch it (even with right lick not only with left one) and nothing. I dont get the form. Same for notecards and all the derived actions of that way of getting items.

could ssome object be trapping your mouse clicks? (click release keys if it shows on the screen, after detaching all attachment syou might have first just in case, and then click on one of the things)

and you're sure the objects are working for other people?

Yeah I am sure. I made a buddy to try it out several times and he didnt got any problem. Thus he got all the needed for me, but you know I cant do make that to people, at the end it's hell annoying. And of course nothing trapping my mouse clicks

and you don't have any huds that might have some transparent prim covering the screen getting in the way of the clicks?


btw, somthing I dunno if it will add much information, on the advanced menu, inside the rendering submenu, then into the info submenu (can't remember the exact name right now), enable the thing about raytracing and move your mouse over the object that should be getting yoru clicks and see if the axis cross thing does go where it should

Highlight transparent in case something is in the way (herking facelight?).
Search "worn" in inventory and remove all attachments, then try.

Does this makes remove everything I wear ? (clothes, huds, accessories, etc)

I am only wearing clothes, I have removed every hud as well accessories, and tried it out, and it shows the blue window asking for getting the notecard but once I click "yes" , nothing happens (and I though it couldn't turn more weird lol).

I will keep trying different things. If anyone has another idea please let me know it, and thank you for all the answer , it's always appreciated.

The only thing that would have that effect that I know of is being set "busy".

Try setting busy and unsetting it, see if that jiggles something loose.

do you got chat history showing? (not that semi-transparent windowless thing , the thing that is kidna like IM chat, with the bar to write msgs and such)

may be your grapichs resolution, i passed by the same problem.

Have you checked in your recent tab if you ARE getting the stuff, just it isn't opening automatically? In "Edit - Preferences - Popups" there is an option to toggle "Automatically view after accepting". If that is not checked, then the NCs and such go to the inventory - but that's all. You have to go to open them from your inventory.
