Last night around 11:15 or so ( I think ) I sent a message to 600 objects to kill themselves. I lost ~$1,500 on this process. I had done it earlier and it had worked fine (got all $6k back), but that time it didn't. All objects did delete themselves.

i lost $4000 to this bug once  it was on an array of 10x10x10 objects, they all deleted themselves, and the money didn't get back into my account until some kind linden stuck it in there for me

First that is an awesome avatar/member pic you got under your name. Where did you get it?
Second, ouch I thought my $1500 was bad. I couldn't even afford to make a 10 * 10 * 10 array. I'm thinking maybe a check needs to be made that slows down the deletion of items if a whole bunch are dieing at once so that money will go where it should.

first, thanks! i wish i say i made it, but i only edited it. I found it on another forum, but it was too large both in pixels and memory, so i 'fixed' it  heh it looks even better here than it did in the place i found it cause the background is actually black, so it looks like it is jsut floating. and you notice when you create a whole lot of objects through a rez call, my array was created by one object that spawned all the other elements, the money takes a little while to catch up, and then if you delete them all, it just seems to leave out some of them, it is like the worst kind of packet loss ever!

I'm thinking my script may not be very efficient, no I didn't create all 600 objects by hand, because each object is created rather slowly. It takes probably about 1 minute to create all 600.
