Hello,
I think about a week ago i downloaded the latest SL viewer and after that i could not walk normaly anymore. When i try to walk the first 1-2-3 steps go normal and then i freeze and jump ahead. then 1-2 steps go normal and then jump ahead again. amd so on.

Anyone else have this problem? or knows how to solve it.
I never had any problems with SL in the past but now its has become very unpleasent, up to the point i think about quiteing SL.

Please someone help.

You could re-install the previous version. This would be a good thing to do just to verify if the problem actually stems from the change in version or if it might be a coincidence. If itje older version works you might just wait till the next new version comes along and see if the problem returns.

If you haven't turned off your modem, router and computer, try doing that.

And i did reset the compter and modem.

I even removed everything, deleted the directory and resintalled again but nothing seems to help.

THANK YOU,

going back to the old version 1.19 worked.
I can move around normally again.

Looks like they screwed up something in the newversion, because my computer can easy run SL in ultra settings.

Hope they will fix it in next version.

I'm having an identical issue; it looks like it's some sort of animation synching problem.

Question: When you're sitting still, does your avatar 'twitch'? And if so, during each 'twitch' do any nearby avatars or animations also seem to 'twitch' at the same time, but maybe in different ways?

I cant say i saw my avatar twitch when i stood still.

But did see al other avatar more around the same way i did.
Freeze and then jump ahead.

But when i moved the camera around there are no problems.

I get the same problem, but i have had it for the last 3 SL downloads.

I have an amazing computer, although i have 2 ATI 3870 running on crossfire i of course disable on when playing SL. I can't walk straight, i do the funny teleport thing but if i turn left to right left to right over and over i dont pause... weird?

It is not a connection problem as i am on a 10mb fibre optic line. It is not my ram, I have 8gig. Erm, not my keyboard.. it is a G15 Logitech, built for gaming.... comes with SL compatibility. Eeerm... I have a quadcore processor, which might be the problem as SL does not have compatibility with them, and have poor compatibility with dual cores...

As someone else has had the same problem... I am guessing it is a fault in SL itself, or something... argh it is annoying =/ anyone have a solution?

Examining it further, it looks like my client is getting two separate streams of timestamps, and is flickering between two separate server times. Does this make sense to anyone?

Confirmed: When I turn on 'Advanced' and 'Show Time', the time and debug 0 both jump forward/back by a few seconds each time everyone jitters.
