Dear Linden Lab,

Has there been any progress on the Mac client?

We seem to be in perpetual Beta, and have been for the last 7 months I've been in SL.

I'm just wondering what progress, if any, is being made.

I'd like to see some optimization of the client as far as client side fps. I've seen SL on PCs with processors of equivalent power to my 1.33Ghz G4, and their experience is much, much smoother than mine.

Thanks!

One of the reasons we have left the mac client in beta is that the color picker (and file I think) is a blocking dialog which causes network disruptions. Once we have written a custom color picker and a few other loose ends tied up, the client software will come out of beta.

I almost exclusively use the mac client here and have found it more stable if somewhat slower than the windows client.

Excellent!

Such good taste you have Phoenix!

Have you seen the new iMac's?

And a G5 for under $1300!

The latest SL update seems to have perked things up slightly. :)

Thank you Phoenix - it really does help to get a status update.

Still wondering if Mac beta testers are going to be rewarded with some sort of Lifetime Land gift for our willingness to PAY to beta test for LL.

But I wonder about lots of things, seldom out loud.
