Sometimes when I build stuff, and fly around the building, it gets stuck, and keeps flying into one direction until it leaves the land, so I have to restart SL.

Common Problem
01-11-2003 22:34
I have this problem fairly regularly. Here are some more details:

This problem sometimes occurs when bandwidth is very high, which usually means I'm flying and high altitudes and speeds over land that my client hasn't seen recently (ie no cached data).

It also sometimes happens (although less frequently) when my bandwidth is perfectly normal, between 15 and 30 KB/s. I can offer no explaination for when or why this happens, it's just random.

Lastly, it happens when my bandwidth drops to zero. Sometimes this is caused by a server crash, usually it's cause by my network connection crapping out.

Note:
On my client for some reason the packet loss meter always reads 0%, I can only pretend to think this is correct, in reallity, I'm sure there is packet loss going on, it's just that for some reason it doesn't register.

Specs (Once more, with feeling):

Windows 2000 Server (Running IIS Webserver (no FTP) resctricted to local LAN traffic)
AMD Dual 1.2 GHz
Tyan Mother Board (with AGP drivers)
Else Gladiac Ultra (geForce 2 Ultra) (with latest nVidia drivers)
Time Warner Cable Modem
Netgear Router (Outgoing connections aloud on all ports. Incoming connections restricted on all ports)

Yegor, for future reference: It's a good idea to provide a full description of what you were doing when the crash happened, details about your computer configuration, and sometimes your log file.

I've been experiencing this same problem, mostly when flying or teleporting from one location to another. Good details Pat, they seem very reasonable for this issue. Hope this can be fixed, is very annoying - especially when you're in past closing time and you crash and can't get back in! ;)

specs:

codename: 'eMachine in a sony case' :)
intel 800mhz
256mb ram
geforce4 mx420 pci
