When I go to the log in screen, all my button like login and cancel and file and all that are in weird colorful blocks.

And when I log in, all my buttons in the hud at the bottom are in colorful blocks
and as well as my character.

Check for video driver updates.

See who makes your video card. Help > About Second Life will tell you the make and model. Go to the manufacturers website, and download the latest driver.

I have a GeForce Nvidia 5600, newest drivers cause I just formatted my computer.

I can play the game perfectly, You just have to have GeForce Nvidia 5000 to run it.

you basically have a jpg compression error caused by a transmission error or storage error.
if it is in your image cache it may stay there for a while.

clear cache.
use other cache folder on other partition
fix hard drive.
