Does anybody know how the "Off World" dynamics is working underwater. When I try and build a large primitive (say a disk 10 meters across but only 1 meter thick) it goes off world at about 8 meters above the floor. The smaller the primitive the closer to the floor I can get. A small disk can almost rest on the sea floor.

It also seems that when you use physics under water if you turn it on, and an object is very far off the sea bed, the object will fall off world.

Why is the sea floor different than land? It's been very difficult to build underwater

I ran into the same thing while attempting an underwater build. I did file a bug report but have heard nothing more about it. I gave up my idea for another time. I couldnt lay down more than one large prim without it flying off world even though I was a sufficient distance from any sim edge.

i think the issue is that the object is getting too close to the "bottom" sim edge. i noticed this problem while trying to build an arena next to x-caliber... 10x10 floor panels went off-world at 5m. 5x5 floor panels stayed put just fine.

I noticed if I raised the sea bed floor I had more luck. At one point I was trying to make a underwater lake. So I raised an area of the sea bed then dug a hole (lowered the middle) and was then able to stick a large primitive over the hole (and into the surround high area). I would recommend that you raise the sea floor before building underwater.
