In the last few days I have had hot pants turning into tights, and under garments also. Someone said there was a known issue with Nvidia video cards but being that notecard is in my inventory I cant exactly read it again right now..
Can someone either tell me how to fix this problem since I have already done a roll back to the previous viewer for my card or point me in the direction of what else I can try while we are locked out of SL for now ??
Thanks in advance..

nVidia driver version 175.xx (must completely uninstall driver and install 175.xx, do not just install over exisiting driver)
If that doesn't work try: Ctrl-Alt-F7 to turn off palletized textures Then Ctrl-Alt-R to rebake avatar textures It won't remember this so you will have to do on every login.
Also, the Release Candidate viewer is said to have solved this problem so you could also try installing that viewer (in a separate directory) and see if it works better.

LL should fix this problem. We shouldn't uninstall our last drivers just for SL. At least that rebake textures thing works on RC, but sometimes I have to rebake every minute, and thats a pain...

I've had a similar problem, only when i try to rebake textures they don't rebake for some reason, also as for installing the NVidia graphic card driver updates, i install them over the previous ones, but there's no way to completely uninstall the drivers to get a clean install for the newest drivers, its weird, there's no uninstall option for uninstalling the drivers and believe me i've looked in the control panel

My nVidia drivers are in my control panel. I uninstall them before every driver update........have been doing that for at least 3 years.
And, yes, you should unistall your old driver before you install a new one.........not only graphics drivers either. Go to nVidia's website and check their FAQ's. They always recommend uninstalling before updating. And they write the software......I'll take their word for it over anyone else every time.

From: Catwise Yoshikawa LL should fix this problem. We shouldn't uninstall our last drivers just for SL. At least that rebake textures thing works on RC, but sometimes I have to rebake every minute, and thats a pain... The problem has been fixed, according to the main JIRA on the issue, VWR-7957. It was not a bug in the viewer: it was caused by nVIDIA's decision to stop supporting palletised textures, which is a basic aspect of how clothing works in SL. You should go to the nVIDIA web site and update the driver for your graphics card (make sure all anti-virus software is disabled when you install it). Download and install the latest Release Candidate viewer, which is version 1-22-5-107013, I believe. Press Ctrl+Alt+R to rebake your alt and all worn items of clothing after it has loaded. You may have to wait some time after running the viewer for the first time since that will clear your cache and all textures will take time to load again depending on your computer and connection speed. It was hit or miss for me when I first tried it but it settled down after an hour and renders the textures just fine now.
