I had two inventory windows open and when i closed one 2000 inventory items went poof,LL could not retrieve them so i lost them Not sure what you mean when you say "My best friend got on my avatar and she can see the items" One suggestion LL offered was to (you guessed it )clear cache, then log out and re log in to a quiet location and stay still for about 5 min and let inventory load. That did'nt work for me,LL tried something else but that did not work, then they informed me they considered the inventory items lost

oh nooooo What a freakin bummer. I have lost also Maybe log into a empty sim ? As suggested. I don't know what to say to help. Nothing worse then having to rebuy things you needed, If there was some things missing a merchant may replace such as an Intan they replaced mine she was great about it too. Also I can give you some items too if you contact me in world, dont know if there is anything you may like from my place, but I am willing to pass to you for free to help you out.

From: Sparkle Mocha i said i already did my cache but thanks !! Karl mentioned deleting your cache. That is quite different from clearing your cache. I don't know which operating system you are using but you can find the location of your cache by going to the network tab in preferrences. The location is right above the "clear cache" button. Write it down, close the log in page and go to that location you wrote down. Delete the entire folder. Try logging back in (the Second Life cache folder will be rebuilt when you launch SL). Also you said you had a friend log into your account and your friend could see all your missing items. I'm guessing that your friend logged in using a different computer. That indicates that there is nothing wrong on the server side of SL, it's something on your end..........therefore, Linden Lab can do nothing to help. If deleting the cache folder does not work, you can unintall your viewer, and (again) go to the cache folder and manually delete it.......the uninstalling of SL does not delete the cache folder (you must manually do that after you uninstall the viewer). Then go to the website and download a fresh copy of the viewer you want to use. Reinstall from your desktiop (don't "run" the install from the website). That should clear up your problem.
