since before yesterday night i haven been able to log in to SL...wheni start SL the log in window apears and all but when i click log in and the time bar starts it stucks half way just to crash a few seconds later...this has been happening over and over and over with no show of change at all...any ideas please?...for references the night before i started crashing i downloaded a new set of codecs for my video card...altought SL its the only program/game that gives me this kind of problem...

Try rolling back your PC to before you did that download. If it works, reinstall those codecs, and check again. If it fails immediately afterwards, then you know the codecs are the culprit. Roll back again, and don't use those codecs.
If rolling back doesn't solve the problem, then it's likely the codecs had nothing to do with it. Something else is going on.
What are your full system specs, and driver versions?

I have this problem too. Except for me the bar just get stuck at logging in since last night. I was able to log in once my friend asked a LL online to log me off. But when i tried 30 mins ago, I'm still stuck sobz. I could log in SL using GnomiAir, a chat programme but not the SL client. HELPP please?
Its getting worst. The past few days I have been getting stuck at connecting to region page of loading screen. It lasts for about a day then I could log in again....
