Teleport not working

Hey everyone. I'm having tons of problems with teleporting recently. It will just stop working for a while. I'll keep getting the notice that my teleport couldn't be completed, and sometimes it will drop me in random places like 1000 feet in the air or in the middle of the ocean. There are one or two places it seems to go consistently (a sandbox I use), and sometimes if I go there first, and then try to get where I'm actually going, that will work, but not always.

I'm on the latest version of Linux Ubuntu, GeForce 8500 graphics card, and using the stable Cool Viewer for Linux. Anyone got any ideas?

You could try a different viewer.

Shutting your entire system off, including the modem and router and anything else, might help.

You might need to open some ports properly.

What kind of internet service do you use and what kind of network, if any?

Are there any other SL users sharing the connection?

I am havin the exact same error at this moment, and it all worked fine before i logged in this mornin, i checked with some friends and they also got the problem....i think it's probally a SL problem at this moment as this can not be someone's own fault if so many people are having teleporting problems...

The only way it seems to work for me, is try to teleport somewhere arround 20 times and then maybe i get lucky and actually get where i want 2 go.

Yes, that is the exact problem I'm having. So I guess it's not the viewer I'm using?

I'm on a Comcast cable wireless connection. No other SL users on my connection, and our router is password locked. So I guess it's just SL?

This is an SL problem, not a user problem.
