Last night, there were two times when some of land around my house disappeared, so only the water beneath it was visible. This lasted about 10 seconds and then the display was normal again. It seemed that any land that was fairly steep was not displayed, while land that was more level was displayed.

A different display problem

This problem occured after I died in the Outlands and I was transported home.
The roof of my house was displayed at about half its normal height. Two chairs, which are about eleven linked shapes, were displayed with all of the shapes centered at the same spot. As soon as I focused on the objects, they were displayed properly.

I've had the first happen to me before. The second display problem you reported is a known (to the Lindens) issue. There's been a small (honestly) amount of talk here on the forums about it within the last couple of weeks. (I'm NOT saying you should've known that or that you should've searched the forums before you posted it... just sayin' that it's been talked about a lil bit =)
