That is not so much good, i'd recommend uninstalling your current drivers and reinstalling.
Looks like something else got installed which mangled one of the driver component dlls. |

I fixeded it! For the first time I'm using new nVidia drivers. Anyone else has this problem, download the new drivers and everything should be OK.

New nVidia drivers = bad. I was running choppy as all heck, so I rolled back again and things are the way they were before.

AUGH!
The error returned again. Lindens? Any idea why this is happening all of a sudden? _____________________

Hey, Yuki -
While I haven't seen the message about a driver component size mismatch before, that would seem to indicate that there's something on your system corrupting nVidia's OpenGL driver somewhere... If you're running Windows XP and did a rollback and the problem reappeared, that would seem to indicate that that's the case - I would try doing a fresh reinstall of the old drivers using drivers from nVidia's driver archive page. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html By the way, what video card and CPU are you running? We had incorporated the new software skinning code in the 1.03 release, so you shouldn't have been seeing poor performance, I think - you should have seen at most marginally worse performance. - Doug |

Hi Doug,
Thing with this error, is that it isn't consistent. Earlier, I restarted my computer and it was fine again. I'm running Athlon 1700+ with a Geforce 2MX, 256 DDR RAM. It was pretty poor, Doug. With the new drivers. I was in the welcome area which isn't generally laggy for me, and I was moving really choppily, dropping frames all over the place. It also seemed to be rougher around the edges. It might have been coincidence that I installed the driver and then there were server problems, but I had never moved like that before. Felt more like a lower framerate than any lag. _____________________
