It seems my Yahoo email account was compromised (it's the only one and it WAS on my account here). People in my friends group got the spam in an IM...and now people who are in groups that I belong to are getting them!

I've changed all my passwords and changed the email address on my account. What else can I do? Did someone here hack into my system?

Yahoo is working on this for me too, but I don't have a lot of confidence that they can find a solution.

Are you and the others getting messages in-world?

They should be coming from objects in-world.

What color is the text?

Is there an object name at the start of the message?

How are you connecting in-world spam IM messages with your yahoo account?

That was last week. This week I've had three people (two on my friends list - one that is only in a group I'm in) tell me they received this message via IM.

I've never been to that site until AFTER I got the spam (yes I got it too - from [email]poetdevine@yahoo.com[/email] TO [email]poetdevine@yahoo.com[/email].

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!

The messages are still going out..I've updated my virus softwar and scanned...not much else I can do...

Guess I'll leave all my groups til this dies down..
