Okay so... I got a new computer (a vista of course) and it runs great, no more lag, no more annoying anything...
BUT...

If I stay logged in for about 10 minutes, different images because "choppy"
Like, the folders in my inventory are cut in-half and are shaped weird... it honestly gives me goosebumps....
And lots of my IM tabs are cut up and shaped weird also... I can print-screen it if anybody wants me to... am I the only one with this problem..? I hope not, I really wanna fix it... I hate getting goosebumps =(

A screenshot would be helpful. Most importantly, what are your system specs? Sounds like maybe a video driver issue, or possibly an overheating graphics card.

Just a note, the title of this thread is misleading. It implies a problem with your operating system specificaly when the problem has yet to be determined.

It's not misleading because my sister (who also plays) has a vista, and she also has choppy images sometimes..

Yes but the tens of thowsands of other people playing SL on vista do not have the problem.

Just because you are naive when it comes to computers does not mean you can make assumptions and have them be correct.

Rather than going back and forth about the semantics of the thread title, how about we all concentrate on something more productive? Once again, what are your system specs? Driver versions? And how about that screenshot?

Never mind, I think I'll go elsewhere for the answer to my question.. it seems that even if I post simple questions, there are always people who have to take it to a different level and find something to say about my post that has nothing to do with it.

Thanks for trying to help though Chosen!

Well, as the statement is followed by a '?' it suggests that the statement is questionable or not determined....

You will find that not everyone trawls the forums with a sharp stick up their a$$.

I run SL on a variety of PC specs and OS's including XP and Vista in 32 and 64 bit variations. I would suggest that posting some specs helps determine the issue... your first port of call should always to make sure your Graphic Card drivers are as upto date as possible. From there, it will create a shortlist of other things that we can help you with.
