(Not sure what computer specs to post so I hope that is helpful)

I normally use the Optional client which was working fine until about a week ago. Now I can barely use my camera to zoom in when I am building or creating. Every time I do I freeze up..and sometimes I come out of it after 30 seconds or so and other times I have to actually do a CTL-Alt-Delete to kill the SL application and even have had to shut off my processer a few times. I hardly ever rez or have things rez in less than 5 minutes now and even on a brand new lag free sim...sometimes my avie is totally stuck when I log in. I have tried coming in with the normal client..but camera freezes are even more frequent with that. I have made sure that all my drivers are 100% updated at driveragent.com and do not run anything at the same time I am in SL.

I love attending classes in SL and it is almost impossible to complete one now;( Does anyone have any idea why these problems would have started? Thanks for any help in advance..

Of course clear your cache. But, also when things like that start happening to me and they appear to get progressively worse over time it finally dawns on me to reboot my router and modem. That clears it up for me......try it. :)

Thank you Peggy...this process actually helped my freezing camera issue which was the most important to me at this time. ;)

Hi Belle,

This is a recurring issue which has gotten a lot of attention in the JIRA (the SL issue tracker.) Here is the link:

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2051

Login using your SL avatar name and password, then from the left side menu, click "Vote for it" and you probably should add a comment as well to let people know that this is still happening. Good luck!

;)
