alt-zoom flickering back 'n forth

To focus on stuff I always use alt-left click and then spin around with alt-ctrl-left click. Sometimes when i zoom in on stuff or rotate to view it at a certain angle the view starts jumping closer and farther away back n' forth. Its weird and really annoying.

One thing i noticed is that this only occurs while focusing on objects and not land or the surface of an avatar.

anyone else get this bug?

ohhhhhhhh man that is sooo annoying on my laggy g2mx....it takes forever sometimes to get a good angle then when almost there, its like i got a gremlin in my monitor shaking the color and alignment guns in it. lol

And of course the only way to get a real looking angle after all that is to move my av and reset the camera angles. :-/

I'm not sure what you mean but I think I got it too... sometimes when I try to focus on an avatar it seems like it zooms in really far or beyond the avatar and start shaking..

another glicth I didn't have with my radeon, but with my geforce, is when I speak I get white flash on my screens (looks like caused by the particle effect)

Also I think I only get this when I changed the FOV

I guessed that the white flash was an inside look at one of those sparkly white effects that sometimes show around avatars doing something or other. What is that anyway? The first time I saw it was when someone farted. So, I still think of it as gaseous (and stinky). I've come to believe it has something to do with avatars exerting some sort of effort.

Anyway, it seems to always be white - regardless of your chosen effect color - and that's what I figured the periodic white flash in my periphery to be.

So, how clueless am I?

Rumor has it that this bug was fixed in the latest release, although I couldn't find it in the release notes. If you see it again please let us know. Thanks.

Can you tell me exactly what you were doing when this happened in version 0.7?

It happened to me again, i was building, and pressed alt to zoooom into a corner on my structure, then suddely it zoomed in, and flickered back to normal, then zoomed in....this all happens very quickly and goes back and forth and back and forth, until you step away to stop it.

:)

Yeah I've still seen some random white flashes (geforce 4800TI se) but not much

and the zoom bug is also still there. Isn't that much of a problem but sometimes on zooming it just goes wrong. It's too fast to tell what's happening, but suddenly you're zoomed in at the wrong spot at the wrong zoom at the wrong FOV ... (or so it seems)
Assuming I still got alt pressed and my mouse button down: if I move my mouse it goes... bouncing real hard (As described in other posts)
