Today after updating the SL Release candidate to the newest version and logging in I notice that the camera can't zoom it on anything properly, at all. Like if I try and zoom in on my avatar, the camera flies right past it and acts as if I tried zooming into the ground 10 feet away, and if I try and zoom in on any objects the camera just refuse to actually get any closer at all, as if I tried to zoom in on some invisible object 2 inches in front of where my camera was to begin with.
I re-installed both the candidate and normal SL, but still got the problem. The only thing different about my computer than how it was last night is that I updated my graphics card drivers. I have an ATI Radeon X800 I think.

Kind of a shot in the dark, but that sounds a little like what happens when CameraOffset is turned on in debug settings. Can't hurt to check that one, anyway.

Do you normally have Camera Constraints disabled? When I installed the latest RC, it re-enabled them, took me ages to work out what was wrong with my camera.

This sounds like what happens when I try to zoom the camera in a location where there are a lot of large, partially transparent prims, e.g. as are used in making many trees and plants. The camera is zooming in on the transparent portion of a prim which is between me and what I am trying to zoom in on. Don't know if that could be your problem, but be sure to try zooming someplace where you are sure there are no such transparent prims around.
