second account in two different households, possible?

if i open a second account , can i play with a friend at the same time at two different ip adresses (we dont live at the same house , so no network) ?

Two accounts can be logged in at once, yes. It'd be very boring if only one person could use SL at a time.

SL isn't like most MMOGs -- you don't have one account and several characters. In SL, you have one identity per account.

If what you're asking is if you could put a friend on your billing account, there's probably nothing wrong with doing that, but if one of you did something against the rules, the other might get punished for it as well.

The best solution would obviously be to have both accounts on seperate credit cards and seperate names.
