New bug - Wrong Texture Ressing

I am having an interesting issue that started today. When I put on a pair of gloves, it will put on a full shirt for my avatar, or a jacket that is from the same clothing set.

Oddly enough this has occurred with a few different designer label cloths for me, and this is the first time I have seen this. Here are a few examples...

Barerose makes an outfit for women called Absolute Black. It has an open front top, with a variant for a closed top. When I put on the open top shirt and pants it rezes however, the shirt rezes and shows me wearing gloves though I am wearing none. Then when I wear the gloves, it changes the shirt texture to the closed top version. When I wear the shoes for my boots that are made from a different designer entirely, it reses the closed bottom pants. Even if I take off both shirt and pants, I still show wearing a full outfit.

I noticed this problem with an outfit from Rfyre today as well. Same pieces, gloves and shoes.

The only thing that changed on my system between yesterday (when it was working fine) and today, was I installed Nvidia's latest video driver that included some new features, such as PhysX being packaged into the code. This doesn't, however, explain why other residents are able to see the same effects applied to my character...

Things I have tried are clearing my cache, completely uninstalling and reinstalling secondlife, and updating all of my drivers, including windows service patches. Nothing has remedied this issue yet. If I can get my hands on the Nvidia driver just before this latest one, I will try rolling back and see if that fixes it...

Hi there,
I experienced the exactly same problem as you. There is a definite issue with the Nvidia 177.xx driver series and Second Life. I have already troubleshooted this issue myself on my computer as I was seeing exactly what you are. Here is what I have found out.

1. Installed the 177.83 drivers from Nvidia, the problem occurred. I un-installed and tried the 177.79 same issue, tried the 177.40 drivers same issue. Each driver from the 177 series caused the same problem

2. Removed the 177 series, and installed the 175.19 series (which is the latest NON 177 series for my 8800GTX). This fixed my problem, but my clothes I was wearing when I logged off using the 177 series was still looking messed up.

3. Here is what I did to fix the issue with my clothes in number 2. I had to remove ALL clothes from my avatar (yes completely naked), use the change my appearance, put on the clothes that were messed up while still in appearance, then close the appearance. This fixes those clothes

4. You will find now that all your clothes are back to normal.

I have left a message with Tech Support from Linden Labs regarding this issue, but they did nothing but give me a canned message to use your older drivers until we find out the problem. However, I am not sure if it's a Linden Lab fix, or something that Nvidia needs to resolve.

I have this problem too, with 177.84 Nvidia drivers. Tried clearing cache and everything, but still nothing.

If it is a driver problem, why can other residents see the same problem? Driver problems are client side.
