I've been able to log in via my desktop PC, and I'm very impressed with the interface, the world, and the people. I just converted to full membership.
Thanks to all with your helpful suggestions with the video card.
My suggestion to the creators of Second Life is to somehow incorporate support for notebooks that do not have nvidia or geoforce graphics cards.
The thinking here is that more people who in their first life do a lot of travelling would like to use Second Life as an "on the road" diversion. I was hoping to do this, but now I am tied to my home PC.
I'm going to be hankering for a Second Life fix while on the road...HELP!
