My second life connection seems to die right after logging in.

OK here's the problem.
I moved to a new city some time ago and also bought a new router to my new apartment.
After that I haven't been able to "play" Second Life.
At first I got an error message when I logged in that my clothing hasn't downloaded yet and I found my character in the middle of the ocean.
I couldn't move or anything.. couldn't open my folders on inventory.. it just said loading when I tried to open them.
So I downloaded the client again.. that didn't help.
Then I messed around with the router settings and disabled windows firewall completely.
I even opened a custom port for SL to use.
That actually helped, now the game works like 20 seconds and after that the connection dies again.
The lag meter shows that Client and Server is Green but the Network is red and it says that my connection ping time is over 600ms.
So I guess no data is going between my client and SL server but for some reason the client doesn't tell me there's anything wrong.
Any other game or program works perfectly so I can't figure out why this is happening.
So have any of you encountered something like this and what caused it?

Have you tried logging in on a different sim?

No, I only have this one but that has been crossing my mind..
I'll try it.

Edit: Ah sorry. I thought you meant another character.. yes I have been in different areas.
I was actually able to stay connected for like 30 minutes but then I teleported to another location and dropped again.
Sometimes I can see people talking near me but I can't move or anything..

You say you messed with your router settings. Could you be a little more specific about that?

Second Life needs ports 443/TCP, 12035/UDP, 12036/UDP, 12043/TCP, and 13000-13050/UDP .

System specs are in order.

Brand and model of router and modem

Wired or wireless?

Plus the usual info that every request for help with a sl releated computer problem should include:

Version of SL (regular/release/third party plus version number)

Brand and model of computer OR some motherboard id info.

Version of operating system

Amount of ram

Type of video card

amount of video ram

I solved the problem.
There was this "IP Flood filtering" active on my routers settings.
I just unchecked it and now I have no problems :)
Thanks for help though.
