Cannot Download 0.5.0

I have not been able to successfully download the new version. I get an error message that says installer verification error - This could be as a result of an incomplete download, a failing disk, or (possibly) corruption from a virus. This has actually happened to me before, the download used to only get to 99% and freeze with earlier versions. Then I would just uninstall and reinstall and it would work fine. However, this time is said 100% complete and uninstalling and reinstalling is not helping. Has this been a problem for anyone else or is there something I can do?

Most times this is because of a personnel firewall or anti-virus software. pause them and retry the download

I did disable all of my firewalls and antivirus programs but I still cannot download. SL won't run with any of the ones I have for my computer so I always disable them all. Thanks for the advice though I appreciate you trying to help

Hooray! I had to completely uninstall my old second life client. I also ran cleansweep, emptied the recycle bin, and uninstalled all old versions of the client setup I had installed. Finally, I got it downloaded and installed. Thankyou for the help everyone.

Ok my computer must really not want to upgrade the SL client. Becuase yes again, I can't download the new version 0.5.1.

Ok this time I didn't have to uninstall my existing client. However, I did download and uninstall 0.5.1 about 4 times and it gave me that same error. I ran all the Norton utilities after deleting them, emptied the recycle bin, and restarted my computer and it magically installed after that.
