I can't seem to login - seems to get stuck at contacting user server (after having talked to login server) before eventually returning to login screen. Is there a known problem at the moment? I logged in ok about 4 hours ago...

I'm having problems, too.

Logged in (last location, Europa) no problem.
Teleported/flew to Tehama

Checked events list, it was blank. (WTF?)
logged out
attempted to log in. Froze at "Contacting Region"
hit "Quit"

Change option to log in at home.
Logged in, no problem.
Tried to teleport to Noyo and fly to Bodega.

Looked around, was still in Europa, but the position indicator at the top of the screen said "Unknown," and I couldn't move anywhere.

logged out
logged back in (Last location) and I'm in Noyo. (WTF!?!)

O.o

I had something like that a little while ago and then closed SL and restarted it and logged in okay. Really SL just feels kind of bugy overall in the last few days, with sims going down and some lines of chat appearing before lines typed after them. Not quite enough to bother anyone with a bug report, but just strange.

My events list is always blank the first time I open the events window. Click the button to go to the next day, then click the button to go back to the previous day and magically they appear...at least they do for me.

I've seen a lot of this in chat. I've also seen my messages take a long time to appear and the typing anim carry on for ages after I've finished.

I'm also jumping lots at sim borders and I'm having a real problem building - I'll move an object and it will spring back to where it was then move of it's own accord towards where it should be but never actually get there, so once it's finished its jigging I'll move it again and this time it will stick.

Plus, I'm dropping through the land lots now as well. And people ghost all the time around my land in Ganymede, as do objects I delete.

And no, please don't anybody suggest it's my computer or my network connection or I'm liable to throw out a large number of expletives in a short space of time. I'm thinking the SL either has some seriously untight code that has been creeping in over time or their data center isn't as hunky-dory as it should be.

I remember the good old days (2 months ago, anybody!) when hardly any of the above happened. Now it's something I deal with all the time.

Why am I getting stuck on 'Connecting to region...' more and more these days? It's getting to be really common that I have to quit and load SL again several times just to get it to connect to the region correctly.

I have also had blank events windows - closing the window and selecting the Events button again usually results in a populated events listing second time around.

CAn't log in to Knowledge Base

I have never been able to log into the "24 hour Knowledge Base". It sure would be nice to be able to do that, being a new member and all. I reported the problem to customer service last week and was told that it was a growing problem for other members, too. Any one know when this will get fixed? Soon I hope.
