Hi, the whole of last year sl was working good in my laptop, the only thing is that sometimes part of the screen would become blue just when rotating camera to a certain angle, but it didnt bother me at all. Recently I updated my graphic card drivers cos I installed a game and it wasnt working properly. After updating the graphic card drivers the game works good, but second life doesnt, its very very slow now! also the camera moves roughly, for example I try the control camera arrows and instead of moving slightly it makes big moves which makes it almost imposible to take a decent snapshoot or build ahything, even by using the alt-shift camera mode. The partially blue screen problem has dissapeared thought.

Anyone has an idea why migh be causing this and how can I fix it?

Some system information might help.

There's some info you can copy in the SL viewer, in the Help About Second Life dialog and paste here.

System specs will matter. The latest laptop drivers from Nvidia work fine, I have not tried the most recent desktop version. People are reporting trouble from the latest ATI drivers.

Laptop TOSHIBA
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64X" Mobile Technology TL-58 1.90 GHz
Memory (RAM): 2.00 GB
system model: Satellite P200D
Graphic Card: ATI Radeon x1200 Series(0x791F)
System type: 32-bit Operatin System
Window Vista Home Premium
Service Pack 2

So could it be that the new drivers of the graphic cards are causing problems?
and if so what could I do, is it possible to un-upgrade to the older drivers?

thanks in advance.

Download an earlier version of the driver, and then use Driver Sweeper to remove the current version. Reboot and install the older version. I'll leave it to those who use ATI cards to recommend the best driver.
