OK this is driving me nuts. Every application that uses sound on my machine (dual core Lenovo laptop with Vista SP1) plays sound fine: windows media, winamp, quicktime, websites, I get the Windows startup sound, etc etc. But SL all of a sudden as of last week plays no sound. No sound when I log in, no teleport noise, no soud when someone IMs me, no audio when I go to a live music event, no radio, nothing. Everything is enabled in preferences, I have uninstalled SL and deleted all registry keys and the local settings files and such. I am just using 1.9.1 (4), no open source add-ins or viewer enhancements just plain ol' SL. It has been working fine and I can't figure out why this one application will now not play sound when every other sound-emitting app on my machine will. I have looked through Debug settings and I just can't figure this one out. Any ideas?
