for some reason when i go to certain landmarks i cant even finish rezzing and then the game freezes up and i have to use alt+ctrl+delete to close it and then when i log back in my game keeps freezing from where i crashed.
i had to set my settings to spawn at home when i login just so i could get out of the landmark that was making me freeze up everytime i tried rezzing in.
i have a duo core 3ghz and 8800 gt with over 500 mb and 2 gigs of ram......i play alot of games that require a good computer, and so far second life is the only game giving me problems with freezing up when i try to teleport to landmarks that have alot of people around.
i even put all my settings on the game to low on graphics and i still freeze up in whatever landmark i cant finish rezzing in.....so im really confused on what the heck is going on.
my drivers are updated and so is my windows so i have no idea what could be the problem....i want to explore everywhere and some reason i cant rez in certain landmarks without freezing up.
please help i really want enjoy second life and i was gonna start using my credit card to buy linden dollars but with this problem im having second thoughts.
any help would be much appreciated to get this problem solved.
-thank you

More detailed system specs might be of some value.
What operating system?
What kind of internet service do you use, cable, satellite, dsl, or what?
What kind of router?
Wired or wireless network? If its wireless, and you can try a wired connection, that's worth trying.
Is you router sitting on the floor knocked over with something sitting on top of it so it's overheating?
Is it always the same places that fail?

nevermind i found out what the problem was, i had to turn off the media in video and audio options.....some landmarks media were bugged and thats what was causing the freezing up. other people are having same problems as me cause ingame they told me to turn off media and it would stop the freezing on certain landmarks since thier media is bugged. hs nothing to do with my internet or computer since i play games that require alot more quality and performance than this game.

Thanks for reporting the cause.
Can you give some locations where the bug appears? I might go see if the problem affects me. If the problem affects some people at a particular spot but not others, that's a sign that's not simply a bug in the stream, but an interaction between the stream and the viewer or other part of the user's system, isn't it?
