I updated my SL to 1.20.17 and now find I cannot see nor access some sims that I work at. When I attempt to TP to these sims, I lock up and SL throws me off. I have no problem at my home sim, but the two sims I work on which are directly across from my home sim are not viewable or accessible. This only started with this current version.
I uninstalled SL, rebooted my system and downloaded and installed a fresh copy of SL. Still have this problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem or have a solution?

Lucky you, at least you can log in. EVERYTIME they force a new version on us I can't log in for a week. I have substancial finances in SL I NEED to be able to login or I will loose hundreds of dollars. WAKE UP Linden Labs! Fix your glitches!

Page updated: 06 Oct 2008 Older versions of the Second Life viewer 1.19.0 and 1.19.1 have been unsupported for awhile -- they are missing the latest bug fixes and updates of the official viewer (version 1.20 and higher). With recent security updates these old viewers are no longer able to connect to Second Life. Some residents (on lower-end hardware) have preferred to use old versions for their predictable performance on their home computer. How can you achieve the same on the official viewer, 1.20 and 1.21? This page explains how! Here are some suggestions, from most important to least: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Turn_off_WindLight_rendering

From: Calista Kirax cause everytime you post and try to get help with a problem you always get smartasses that think they are funny cause the problem doesnt apply to them. Below is my post responding to Calista's calling me a smartass in another thread, as I was trying to help another user. I post it here just to make it clear that, so far as I can see, she's been treated fairly well in the forums. I'm sorry that you find it so difficult to find help, Calista ... but I am glad you got your problem resolved. From: Nika Talaj Hi Calista. Let me try to help you too. If the new client doesn't work for you, you can use your older client by adding " --channel old" option to the Target line in the shortcut (on Windows) or in the "Resources/arguments.txt" file (on Mac). If you uninstalled your older version, you can find all previously released clients here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versionsGood luck!
