Ahhh!

I can not change my clothing, or my shape. When I log in I am told that my shape is missing from the database and to notify the creator, and that my clothing is still downloading from the database. I made the shape myself, so I guess I should notify myself about that...I can not change clothing either, I get a message saying "Can't change appearance until clothing and shape are loaded." Is anyone else having these probelms? I'm going crazy here!!!!

Edit<Preferences<Web<Clear Cache, then relog. Also, remember to send a copy of your custom shapes to your alt or a very good friend and/or write down your slider numbers.

I did all of that, a few times I'm stuuuck!

Longer solution: go to Start, My Computer, C: drive, Documents and Settings, <your name>, Application Data. Click on the Second Life folder and delete it (this is your cache, which somehow never deletes even when you delete your cache in the preferences menu). When it is deleted, empty your recycle bin.

After that restart the computer, then log in to Sargasso (use the Preferences menu again to set your Start Location, then type in "Sargasso" without the quotation marks). Sargasso is a Linden-owned void sim, so there's nothing else on there for your computer to load except your own information. If this doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall the client. Then log in at Sargasso again. Hope this works.

I ended up reinstalling, I'm still having the problem. My alt's are fine, and I can put my shape on them, so I'm not really sure whats going on. :/ Thanks for tryin to help...

(Ctrl-Alt-D or Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D for the debug menus)

Client / Character / Tests / Test Female (from memory so may not be exact )

That should turn you back into the default newbie avie (you can change back into your normal self from there), but I'm not sure if it will actually work if your current shape won't take/download. It's worth a try though .

(If it doesn't work the first time, sometimes it can suddenly take on another try so try it a few times before giving up)
