Why is the SL Grid Status always wrong?

SO after a day or two of being offline due to RL stuff I go to log in to complete some ingame business and I get the message..

"Login to Second Life has been temporarily disabled. Please monitor the grid status page for updates..http://status.secondlifegrid.net/"

so i mosey over to the grid page and i see this..

"[RESOLVED] Logins Disabled
Posted by Status Desk on January 10th, 2009 at 01:54 pm PST

[RESOLVED 2:08 pm PST] Logins are open and all issues are now resolved.

[2:00 pm PST] Logins have been re-enabled."

which is obviously horribly incorrect as I get the above message when trying to log in. This isn't the first time that this gridstatus page has been woefully incorrect. Why is that?

It is 1 hour after everythings supposed to be A-OK to log in and yet I can't log in? Most irritating.
