SL Crashing me out

Im not sure why but every time I turn around im crashing and then I get the error of display Driver Stopped responding then I log back in and crash again.....This is a new machine and don't understand why it keeps doing this to me....never had a problem before....Please can someone solve my problem

System:

AMD Phenom 9500
3072MB memory
720GB hard drive
Nvidia Geforce 8500 GF
Windows Vista

I had this problem a couple months ago with my machine too........though it was only an occassional thing for me. My computer specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600)
3 gig DDR2 RAM
NVidia 8600 GT (256) PCI-e
Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
All in an off the shelf Lenovo Desktop (3000 K100)

I fixed the problem by stepping back a few driver versions. I had the latest driver at the time (175.something) and changed to the driver I'm using now.........169.25. I haven't seen the problem since.

It might help you.......won't hurt to try anyway.
