Screen turning different sizes

I'm using Vista and this never happened before but today when I logged on the screen started flashing black and white then the picture turned small. This has only happened on second life. What's going on? Or what can I do to play the game normally? and I did try restarting

Things like your graphics card, operating system, amount of ram, cpu speed. I'm not terribly knowledgeable but I can bump your thread in hopes someone helpful turns up before they pull the plug.
