You clear the cache by pressing a button in your Preferences -> Network tab. There, it is clearly marked ("Clear Cache" in the Disk Cache Size line) and you just press the button and restart the application. Next time that you run the viewer, it will usually take longer to load, but that passes. If you feel up to it, you could also try and install a different viewer and check if the problem is gone. There are alternate viewers like the one from OnRez - http://viewer.onrez.com/ - or one of the pretty popular Nicolaz Viewer editions - http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com/ ... or even the official Release Candidate viewer assuming that you are using the main one now. Oh, and did you abuse report the guy? Certainly hope so

Ok, I don't have SL here, but I will try.
Go in Menu -> preferences In the new window click on Network and there must be a button "clear cache"
Now you have to restart SL and hopefully that it was.

Why so many "griefers?"
07-10-2008 03:00
Speaking of "griefers," I am having trouble understanding how these "griefers" continue for so long in Second Life. There are some who just go from land to land rolling enormous animations around and freezing the place for everybody there. I will often hear, "Oh there's so-and-so with his boxes," etc. If they are known, why are they still there? (

Hi Spider, I don't think there are many well known griefer around in SL. The problem is, that not all residents do a abuse report and if a griefer get baned from LL then he comes back with a new account. This kids will always be around here like the hacker kiddies in the internet.

Creativity and socializing, etc. it has surprised me (especially after getting land and a house). I guess those who vandalize the place sort of caught me off guard, but I am not going to let them spoil my enjoyment of SL.

It sounds like you're getting dialogs from a scripted object--if you log in to a different region you shouldn't see any more.
From the login screen you should be able to open Edit > Preferences > General and enable "Show Start Location on Login Screen"
Then, you will find a box on the little login form where you can enter a region name
