What does it mean when a blank name "has accepted your inventory offer"?

Occasionally, I get an IM from Second Life saying " has accepted your inventory offer". There's no name, just a blank space.

When I get these messages by e-mail, they're not from "Second Life" but from what looks like a UUID. Does this mean there's an object that's taking inventory items from me while I'm offline?

I've gotten that too, Cubey.

When I am online I see the name of the person flash just before that person accepted an item, then I get the "has accepted your inventory offer" I've also seen nothing come up and stood there wondering if the person received the object I sent. Upon asking, I find out that they did receive the item, but I got no notification. I do think it occurs more when the person receiving the item or yourself is not online when the transfer occurs.

I think it is just a bug.

Also, half the time I get a message while I"m off-world that someone has given me inventory and I need to log on to accept it, then when I log on there is nothing there for me.

From the look of it there's nothing sinister about this. Just a user who had not logged on in a very long time that accepted an iventory offer you made to them when the old offline messanging system was in place, so somehow in the transition between the two messanging systems the name was "lost" (though we have it on our end.)

If it keeps happening please let us know.
