Hello all,

I have a real issue here. Someone has been able to find every alt I have made in SL. This really concerns me because I am having problems with them in RL as well. Can anyone tell me if there are ways in SL to do this!
I'm getting frustrated now because Im even afraid to make a new acct.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Cyber stalking is a crime...........a RL crime. AR them with all details.

Also check your computer for keyloggers or other spy software. Next time you log in do a detach all to rid yourself of any possible attachment that reports back to your stalker friend. Make a new alt and DO NOT tell anyone.........I mean anyone encluding your best friends in SL. See if they can find you then.

But, most important..........AR the person. And check your computer for spying software.

If they are harassing you in RL, CALL THE POLICE.

AR is Abuse Report. Look in the help menu on your user interface. Follow the instructions and be as detailed as you can.

Peggy... how could this happen? Is it something the stalker has used through SL to transmit computer info?

adhira... have you exchanged emails outside of SL with this person? have you told anyone at all about your alts that possibly lead to the stalker discovering your alts?

I'm just genuinely curious how something like this could possibly happen?

I don't think so. The OP mentioned that this person is a problem in RL too. I'm thinking that this person is actually known in real life.......or, at least, aquainted.

I have no idea how someone would install a keylogger or other spying software on someone's computer without actual physical access to the computer. But, I know it's possible.........maybe some ex-hacker will come along and explain for us. Phishing comes to mind though.

I'm no expert, but apparently it's like any computer virus - just get the victim to download something, and embed your keylogger inside it. If this was a person who initially befriended the OP, it would be easy for him to send an innocent-looking download.
