Last night 1 CET, 3pm servertime, I've lost 450LD in a shop. The amount has been taken from my account and is listed under the transaction menu. I did not receive the clothes. What should I do now to get my money back or the clothes? A half hour later there was a message under the local shot not bo buy, well it came a half hour too late.

I suggest you create a notecard politely explaining your situation and including your name and all details, name it clearly, and send it to the shop owner, and then wait patiently for a day or two for a response as not everyone logs on every day.
You can try sending an IM in world, but if the person gets too many of these while offline they will be cut off, so a notecard is usually preferred.

Thx for the advice.
That's what I did after not receiving the item. I made a new notecard, with my ava's name, email & transaction info + some info about what happened. I hope she will log in soon.

I lost 1000 L. I see it on my SL balance sheet, as well as who it went to. I sent an offline email, but I will try the notecard too. Thanks, BT

Thanks, BT Cut and paste the copy of your Transactions History entry for that too in the note card it may make it easier on the owner to find the transaction in their file.

I lost L$12,288 in a failed automated land transaction, filed a support ticket with the TN#, got a visit from Sejong Linden and he resolved it. (Thanks Sejong Linden)

L$12000 is a lot different than L$500. LL won't do anything about small transactions; it's between the buyer and seller to work things out.

well i figured i would throw that in there since the purchase is with a resident and it is automated, just like a vendor.

I hope the shopowner will login one day. She's always offline. It is 8 hours later there. Current time at Philippines is 8:29 AM.

Naming names is against policy, as fustrating as your situation at the moment may be. Give them a chance though, there is infinite reasons why they havn't gotten back to you yet, holidays, busy RL. Most shop owners are only too happy to sort this sort of situation out, 4 days isn't an obscene amount of time.

Also, check your Mute List and make sure you didn't accidentally mute her. I can't tell you how many times I IM someone complaining of no delivery, only to discover after several days they had muted me and can't see my replies. Please, please check that.

Aight. I've hidden her name. She hasn't been online since 08/03/01. I can check it using the group option. I would expect a shopowner/creator to be more online. Sort of client is king rule.

From: Bhakta Thor What do you mean by this? I don't understand muting like this? Just fyi my peron has never replied. I think SL needs a consumer reports magazine bt Did you check your mute list? View --> Mute list Look for the person's name. Sometimes people get muted at random. Actually CHECK THE LIST, don't argue that "I nebber mutted thmz." Did you attempt to contact them via notecard? I know my own IM's get capped from time to time. This means that any further IM's just vanish. I like your magazine idea, the front cover should consist of "how to correctly contact a vendor."
